Cemetery Rules and Regulations

Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery gates are open from sunrise to sunset. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm and Saturday 9:30am – 3:30pm. The office is closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (Holidays include Jan 1, MLK Jr. Day, Presidents Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas).

Holiday Decorations:

Please request a Floral Placement and pick-up schedule from a member of the Park Operations Department for the following days:

Valentine’s Day – Easter – Mother’s Day – Memorial Day – Father’s Day – Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos – Thanksgiving – Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Vermont Ave. Gate Hours:

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Normandie Ave. Gate Hours:

8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

General Information & Cemetery Visitation Policies

  • Only fresh flowers are permitted in the park
  • No alcohol use, use of drugs of any kind, excessively loud music, or playing games or any other recreational activity is allowed
  • All food and trash must be picked up after visitation occurs
  • No picnic tables are allowed
  • No canopies or tents are allowed
  • No dogs and pets are allowed (with the exception of certified service dogs)
  • Persons with dogs or pets will be asked to leave
  • Music is limited to one hour
  • Chapels are closed until further notice

Notice of Violation Policy:

All incidents where any of the above is violated will be reported to LAPD-Harbor Division
